Summer is almost here, and after so many weeks off the water, kiteboarders are excited to be buying new equipment and getting back on it!
The kite industry has seen a boost in activity as beaches and schools around the world reopen, and that includes equipment sales. As many kiters have had travel plans changed in recent weeks, they’re now treating themselves to new kit, in order to ride their home spots over the coming months.
If you’re looking into buying new kiteboarding equipment in the near future, remember that the GKA has worked closely with kite brands to introduce a new ISO safety standard for quick-release systems on kite bars, and there are many brands already complying with the new standard for equipment.
The new ISO standard regulates how bars are tested to ensure a level of safety you can rely on even in the harshest conditions.
Find a list of products per brand that are compliant with the new safety standard ISO 21853, right here.
