A harness is an integral bit of kitesurfing kit, but it needn’t be something you spend a fortune on if you are on a budget. Liquid Force designed the Profile to be comfortable, simple and most of all well priced.

The Profile features an elasticated powerbelt with Velcro fastening, the actual harness is well padded too and very comfortable to wear. The hook is integrated into a spreader bar pad and is tensioned using a v-buckle strap system. There is also a handlepass leash attachment point on the back of the harness. You have to either leave the hook loose enough to pull the harness on over your legs or detach the strap on one side each time you put the harness on as there’s no quick release system.

Comfort with harnesses is the key and the Profile is certainly that. The hook isn’t as stable as some of the other harnesses in the test, as you would expect with such a simple set up.

Overall, If you’re on a budget the Profile will certainly fit within it. But more than that it offers good support and comfort when you are riding.
