At A Glance

The Marshall series of suits from Mystic aims to put quality products in the hands of the riders without the high price tag. Packed with features and built to Mystic's exacting standards and now available in new colour options, the Marshall Fullsuit 3/2mm Fzip allows individuals to stand out from the crowd. They can stay warm during chilly sessions with the Fox Fleece lining on the chest and back panels. The suit also includes 4-way stretch hex-tech kneepads for added flexibility and a shin protection layer. With glued blind-stitched seams and critical taping on the inside, the suit effectively keeps warm water in and cold water out.

To ensure good drainage, the lower leg of the suit features perforated neoprene patches called Aquaflush. Protecting against board impacts, the suit includes EVA padding in the Shin Protection area. An external neoprene key pocket, coupled with a mini-buckle on the standard key loop, ensures secure key storage and quick access; no need to fiddle around with cold hands, just unclip the key and go.

The Aquabarrier, a silicone printing on the collarbone region, creates a water-repellent barrier between the front-zip panels. The suit is made from high-quality, flexible neoprene that now offers even better stretch and flexibility. The fabric's high pile lining with big loops holds air for improved insulation and faster drying.

Using a waterproof stitching method, the panels of the suit are glued together and blind-stitched to maintain flexibility and warmth. Critical areas of the suit are reinforced with durable waterproof taping to prevent leaks.

On The Water

For the price point, the Marshall suit really is worth considering; wetsuits these days have reached eye-watering price tags and the reasonably priced suit on test here flies in the face of that trend. The materials feel very high quality, and the finish on the suit is sublime. In years gone by, a cheaper suit meant less flexibility, but the Marshall has plenty of flex, and the suit is easy to get on and take off.

We've used the suit in a variety of different situations, from surfing to kiting and dock starting and at no point did we feel held back or restricted; of course, it's only a 3/2mm suit, but it really was a joy to wear. We loved the shin pads, too, perfect for winging if that is your thing, and we really liked the way the legs were able to flush water easily when it entered the suit. No elephant legs here while kiting, even when we forgot to use the leg straps.

There are a few colour options this year, we loved the low-key nature of the black and navy, but if you really want to stand out from the crowd, you can with the light grey option.

Overall

In summary, the Marshall Fullsuit 3/2mm Front Zip offers superior warmth and flexibility at a price point that can't be ignored. Its innovative features, such as Aquaflush, Shin Protection, and Aquabarrier, provide added tech and protection, making the suit feel premium. With superior stretch performance and a more durable construction for 2023, this suit is designed for lasting use.
