At A Glance

The Majestic lineup from Mystic is their premium line, popular with pro riders and discerning kiteboarders from all over the world. It fuses the highest-end materials into their top-of-the-line products. It's worth noting Mystic also make a suit called the Voltt, available in a 5/4 and 6/5 Hooded version; these are the super warm suits from Mystic. If you kite in really cold climates, that's the suit to go for, but if you want a good balance of warmth and comfort and you don't live in Iceland, the Majestic is where it is at.

The suit is constructed from MX4 Yamamoto neoprene, one of the most premium options available. It's super stretchy and is backed by the innovative Knitflex+ material to ensure you get maximum flexibility and freedom of movement. The suit has been designed with multiple arm panels to increase the stretch even further and improve the fit.

The front zip gap features a silicone printing called Aquabarrier on the collarbone region. This acts as a barrier between the overlapping front zip panels, preventing water from entering. The backs of the knees are embossed to increase movement, and there is a good drainage management system in the ankles with velcro straps to keep the suit in place.

Inside the suit, you'll find the Flaremesh+ quick-dry lining on the torso. This lining is super comfortable and helps the suit dry out quickly between sessions. Fox Fleece lining is used on the lower legs, shoulders and arms. This isn't as warm, but it's super comfortable and very stretchy. All the interior seams are fully taped, which is a nod to this wetsuit's premium quality

The Majestic Fullsuit 5/4mm Front Zip features a key pocket on the lower leg. The key loop is also equipped with a mini-buckle, which makes it easy to release and reconnect at the beginning and end of each session while keeping your key secure.

In The Water

The Majestic Fullsuit 5/4mm Front Zip is one of the most comfortable wetsuits I've worn. The Yamamoto neoprene is incredibly soft and flexible, and the suit fits like a glove. The front zip is YKK, but I still can't quite believe it's a metal zip. Be sure to rinse the suit with fresh water regularly, especially at the end of the winter season when you store your suit over the summer.

The Flaremesh+ quick-dry lining is a great feature. It does a fantastic job of drying out the suit between sessions, and it also helps to keep you warm by holding air next to your skin. It's also incredibly soft and comfortable when you pull the suit on. I love the fit of this suit. All suits are subjective here, of course, but the Majestic was a dream to pull on and wear on the water.

Considering it's a 5/4mm suit, it didn't feel like it. It's warm but not restrictive at all, it gets a big thumbs up from me in this regard. It's also incredibly light, almost 200 grams lighter than some of the other suits I've tested. I also liked that all the seams are taped. All suits feature glued and blind stitched seams these days, but the taping really helps to keep the water out and not many suits are fully taped like this one. The drainage holes in the legs are also brilliant, and the velcro straps do a great job of holding the ankles of the suit in place during those choppy sessions we all have to endure.

Overall

The Majestic Fullsuit 5/4mm Front Zip is a high-performance suit that is packed full of features to ensure you're kept warm and comfortable in even the harshest of conditions. The Yamamoto neoprene is super stretchy and feels incredible to wear. If you want a warm, lightweight and comfortable suit, this is it.
