Nobile have been making some of the best kiteboards around for a long time now, they have a heritage that is steeped with classic designs, and the NHP is one of them! This yeah the NHP Time Pro sees two additional sizes in the range then XTR 140 x 46 and the XTR 143 x 46. Both these boards are billed as being high-performance light wind machines. The two smaller sizes, the 134 x 41 and the 138 x 43 that we have on test here are the top end freeride and freestyle boards in the Nobile line up.

The board features Nobile’s Pre-Stress Technology, which packs energy into the core of the board before the lamination process. It has a medium to stiff flex pattern with increased flex in the tips. The shaping on the NHP is unique, not only does it feature an asymmetrical outline it also has a combination of a double concave bottom. These should provide plenty of grip and super soft landings!

The Hydrodynamic Rocker line is quite pronounced and should allow the board to carve through the chop and hammer upwind. Build quality is as ever second to none, and you’ll be impressed with the craftsmanship that has gone into this board. The NHP ships with the Click’N’Go fin system and G10 fins and the Click’N’Go IFS foot strap and pad set up meaning you can set the board up without the need for a screwdriver.

On The Water

Building the Nobile NHP Time Pro up was easy with the Click’N’Go fin and binding system we are big fans of this system as it makes life simple. We don’t usually talk about colours in tests, but it’s worth a mention that the foot straps come with a navy, pink or turquoise trim, so not only are they easy to install they look great too!

"Good looking, refined and so much fun to ride"

On the water the NHP grabs your attention, it is fast and fluid and eager to race upwind. On flat water the top end speed is impressive, this speed means you can launch into your tricks with loads of pop, something the NHP has in abundance. The rail bites into the water up until the very last moment of take off storing up loads of energy for explosive manoeuvres.

Landings on the NHP are buttery smooth, the double concave shaping helping to absorb a lot of the initial impact and the flex taking care of the rest. The asymmetrical outline helps when you are carving rail to rail while still offering a good area from which to load up an edge for your tricks. In the chop though is where this board excels, the rocker line and flex combine to offer a buttery smooth ride in the roughest of conditions!

Overall

Good looking, refined and so much fun to ride, the NHP Time Pro is a stunning board with loads of tech crammed into it. On the water, it is fast and furious and will suit the intermediate to advanced riders out there looking for a platform from which to launch big moves. The build quality and finish is of an exceedingly high standard, and we keep coming back to this board whenever the wind gets up, it’s given us smiles for miles!
