The Road to King of the Air is our new three-part series following two-time World Champion and two-time King of the Air winner Andrea Principi. A personal look into his life, from downtime with family at home to training in Tarifa, and through the build-up and competition of King of the Air 2024.

In this first episode, “La Familia,” Andrea and his parents share stories about his roots in Toscana, Italy, where sport and the outdoors have always been a big part of his life. With his mum, both as a kitesurfing instructor and his biggest inspiration, Andrea’s passion for the sea and kiteboarding started early. Away from competition, he spends his time in the gym, biking, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors. Watch now for a glimpse into the person behind the champion.
