It’s #throwbackthursday, and we’re taking you on a stroll down Keahi de Aboitiz’s memory lane. Keahi is one of the biggest watersports freaks you will ever meet! Not only is he a fearless SUP surfer, but he is also an incredible surfer, (nominated for the O’Neil wave of the winter earlier in the year), and most notably known for taking kitesurfing to the next level with 3 x Kitesurfing World Champ titles before the age of 23.
Mastering multiple disciplines over the years his career began in Australia with 4x National Freestyle Championship Titles. This may not be entirely surprising if you know his gene pool includes the likes of waterman Pete Cabrinha. While an injury kept him out of the 2016 world title race, it also offered some downtime to dig out some of the old footage from the attic. Watch this!
