In Focus: RRD 2017 Product Overview: The Twin Tips

Today we’re going to be taking a look into the new kiteboarding range from RRD. Since the beginning of time RRD have been developing and creating innovative products within the market. For 2017 the range boasts 6 kites, 2 bars, surf boards, 9 twin tips and a slalom race board. The range has undergone a graphic re-design as well as design tweaks. We also see a new redesigned website for 2017, it all looks pretty slick… Lets check it out.

Poison V4
The most wanted freestyle board in our range since its introduction. Some still refer to it as “the board with the eye” constantly reminding about its legendary grip, light feel and silly “pop”. Once you use the Poison you immediately fall in love with it. There is something about it that makes it feel just right: The scoop rocker is the same one used on the Infamous Poison V3, constant curve with slightly lifted tip area, but the outline has completely been re-designed.

Posion Ltd V3

Juice V3

Bliss V4

Placebo V6
The Placebo is our reference line of kiteboards developed specifically for freeriding. Fifty / Fifty
A board for those who want to travel light and compact. Available into 2 x different sizes: 138 x 42 and 138 x 40,5 cms.
This kiteboarding format is getting more and more popular for those who travel often by plane, or others who want to simply have a short bike trip to the beach in total comfort. The shape is specifically designed along the middle split of the board that is naturally stiffer than a conventional board , and so is the outline.

BS45 V5- BS45 V5 Pro
The BS 45 V5 fits in a class of its own. It’s the perfect board to use when the wind is light and the conditions are marginal. Unlike the other lightwind boards on the market, as soon as the wind comes up, there is no need to change the board. The BS45 V5 is made with a constant curve rocker line that keeps the tips of the board high enough on the water to avoid spraying into your eyes and ensures fantastic maneuverability which is what this board is all about.
The PRO version has more curve and a slightly deeper concave. This creates a slightly slower board with more pop potential. Additionally, the Pro version will be much easier to maneuver and more fun to ride in higher winds.

Easy Kite V2
The proper board for teaching. It has been a highly requested board for many years after our first Easy Kite board we had in the past.
The new Easy Kite is now built like a serious twintip board. A must for any Kite school!
