Short line sessions have been an increasingly popular trend in the pro kiteboarding community, and junior Big Air rider Jamie Overbeek is the latest to contribute a video. Check out Short Lines Special, filmed in the Langebaan Lagoon in South Africa, where Jamie takes some length of his lines and goes for some loops! Not only is he looping his inflatable Ozone kites, he also takes the foil kites out for a – literal – spin.
Riding short lines is different, gives that extra adrenaline rush. It’s fast and radical and when timing and height is off, it hurts. If you wanna try this make sure you’re an advanced rider, you can’t compare it with riding on standard lines because the way your kite behaves changes.
