IKSURFMAG Partners With WINDY To Enhance Travel Guides

The IKSURFMAG Team, along with the help of the incredible kiters we’ve met over the years, have been working hard together to create the biggest and most detailed database of kitesurfing Travel Guides on the web!
So far, we’ve covered over 90 spots worldwide; from well-known kiting destinations to islands in the middle of the ocean that only a few lucky ones have heard of. Our Travel Guide information is collected from local kitesurfers from the area that have been helpful enough to share with us these unique destinations. We are continually adding new Travel Guides; the IKSURFMAG Travel Guide section has now become the most popular place to discover new kitesurfing destinations.
What is the main factor that determines where you’d like to kitesurf next? The first thing you look at is the wind and weather. After all, there is no point in going anywhere only to discover you missed the windy season, or that the forecast is terrible.

Built by kitesurfers that know how critical it is to catch the right weather conditions, WINDY collects real-time data from more than 30,000 weather stations worldwide giving you one of the most accurate readings available. Detailed wind, wave and tide charts are all available on one screen. The WINDYapp is an incredible tool with over 40 features including wind, wave and tidal information and forecasts, the ability to get in touch with local kiters in the area and chat with riders on the spot, share pictures with other riders and keeping an eye on your favorite spots.
We’ve been working with WINDY over the last two years to get detailed historical data for each spot so you can be sure of the best times to travel to maximize your kite sessions. Over the last month or so we have been rolling out this update, and it is now complete. Available on both desktop and mobile we are now providing you with the most detailed forecasts and historical information available thanks to WINDY!
Together we are helping to make packing bags, boards and appropriate kites as efficient as possible!
