It’s HERE – The Shinn Wing Escalator 2022! A low aspect ratio wing provides a compact feel by keeping the rider’s hands close to the centre while enhancing manoeuvrability through a shorter span; however, instead of using battens or struts to control the increased trailing edge surface area, we turned to the natural tensioning properties of the leading edge reflecting the tips, resulting in constant tension in the canopy without adding extra weight.
The massive low-end grunts this wing develops allow the rider to choose a wing one or even two sizes below what they would otherwise use. It is ideal for freestyle and jumping, and lighter winds cruising since the larger sizes do not feel big (apart from in power delivery)! Glide through lulls with ease and jump onto the foil quickly.
Available in a huge range of sizes, the 5.5m and above are a light wind dream, whilst the smaller models become a freestyler’s dream, popping and spinning with ease.
