While most of us are waiting for summer in the Northern Hemisphere – Felix Kersten, Ronny Michael & Marc Bischi are enjoying the snow while it lasts!

Felix’s Story

On this day, we started at 1200hm at the small village Pignias in Switzerland and had to go up a very steep road which you are not allowed to drive. We reached 1500hm, and still no sign of snow, from this point we had to go by ski. AT 2150hm in the valley, we had to wait a little bit for the wind as the forecast was a mix of the slightly north wind and thermal wind in the afternoon. We kited straight to Pass da Surcrunas and were thinking about what to do. Kiting more in this valley or trying to go on a trip as the wind was quite good. We decided to go in the next valley and kited till Furcletta dil Capeder. Shortly we flew a little bit and explored another part of the valley after we decided to move on to the next valley which wouldn’t give us an option to reach the car anymore by ourselves. By Radons above Savognin was not much wind but after some fight, we got on the Piz Mez and moved from there to Furcla Starlera and Fuorcla Curtegns without problems. Now we just had to pack the kites and ski down to Mulegns.

In the end, it was I bit more tricky than we thought because in some parts was already the snow missing or we had to cross big avalanches and canyons.

After 8h and 50km we were quite done and lucky that I have a kind dad which picked us up and gave us a taxi back to our cars

A cool trip with lots of terrains where we set new tracks by snowkiting!
