There comes a time in life where many of us have to make the difficult choice between tropical beach lifestyle and …the inland. Richie moved from Southeast Asia to Switzerland, where he had to rediscover the joy of kiting in the snowy mountains. Check out his video!
A few words from Richie:
Hi everyone! I am Richie and I am a professional kiteboarder. It all started 15 years ago when I was a little boy and for the first time in my life stood up on the board and just felt this freedom. My search for wind and waves brought me to Southeast Asia where I spent 4 years on dream beaches in Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, and many other inspiring places.
Now we are in the Swiss mountains discovering the real beauty of kiteboarding. I am so impressed by how amazing are the trips around the mountains seeing those endless, white, and wild deserts of snow.
I fell in love so strongly that I have decided to open a snowkite school here. I was planning to open a kite school already a long time ago but I would never say I will do it in the mountains. Life is so unpredictable!
Here I am. Very happy to invite you all to my kite school in Switzerland where we are snowkiting and flying around the mountains during the winter and kiting, hydrofoiling, and discovering beautiful lakes during the summer!
We snowkite and teach on the Glacier 3000 (video is from this place) and Sparenmoos. Both places are around a 1,5-hour drive from the city of Bern.
