Lately, we’ve seen numerous leading manufacturers testing handheld wings, and we’ll be seeing these wings appear in their 2020 collections. One of the prototypes has recently appeared for testing on our local beach in Le Morne. I spotted a rider on a foilboard holding an inflatable wing, and my first thought was, I wonder if an ordinary umbrella would work?!
It sounded crazy, but with help from a friend, I thought I’d give it a shot!

How To Get Started

I hooked a short wakeboard rope to his harness and as soon as we gained enough speed, I jumped on the board
As soon as we were cruising fast enough, and I got the height I need I let got of the handle, and went for it!
and it worked!
