PREMIERING FOR THE FIRST TIME. In November 2020, FLYSURFER HQ decided to complete its 2021 product shoot in South Africa.
In December, the shoot gear gets air freighted to Cape Town, and on the same day that the gear arrives, the president announces another lockdown: incl. The closure of all public outdoor spaces.
Shortly after, Europe bans flights to South Africa.
Luckily half of the team was already in Cape Town; the remaining part did not make it on time.
Beaches in South Africa are closed, and kiters are officially persona non grata!
