The Soleil SLS is Duotone's performance freeride twin tip developed around a narrower outline and size range intended for female riders. It combines a lightweight SLS laminate with soft flex, early planing and comfort through chop, while retaining the edge response needed for carving, jumps and hooked freestyle. The design is not restricted to beginners: its carbon-supported construction and detailed bottom shape are intended to give experienced riders a lively platform without the stiffness of a competition board.
SLS Materials and Flex
Textreme Innegra is used to reduce weight and damp vibration, helping the board move through disturbed water with less harsh feedback. Biax Carbon reinforces the structure and provides a quicker response when edging or releasing into a jump. The Soleil SLS uses a soft flex, supported by a Cross Slit Core, to absorb impacts and maintain comfort. Innegra's dampening and the carbon laminate work together so the board can remain forgiving without losing the direct feel expected from an SLS model.
Shape and Early Planing
The outline is proportioned around smaller riders and works with Space Flex technology to promote early planing and smooth carving. Space Flex uses a stiff outer frame and more flexible tip zones, supporting clean water release and reducing swing weight during transitions and tricks. Absorption Flex Tips respond to different conditions: the board stays flatter for quick planing when power is limited, then gains additional scoop and control as speed or wind increases. Bottom and Edge Control
A Double Concave Bottom channels water through two lines, increasing grip and stability while smoothing the ride and landings. Angled rails improve heel-side engagement and upwind drive, as well as providing a more defined release for jumps. Torsion Flex allows controlled twist along the board so the heel-side edge can maintain contact without making the platform uniformly rigid. Tip channels add further grip and stability during carving and transitions.
Sizes and Specifications
The Soleil SLS is available in 132 x 38 cm and 136 x 39 cm. Duotone associates these with rider weights of 55–70 kg and 65–85 kg. Both sizes use S-Bend FS 4.5 Glass 15 fins. Published board weights are approximately 2.137 kg for the 132 and 2.244 kg for the 136, with a stated tolerance of plus or minus five per cent. The compact range reflects the board's narrower, rider-specific outline.

The Soleil SLS is intended to combine straightforward freeride use with enough response for continued progression.
