The Evo D/LAB is Duotone's premium high-performance all-round kite for ambitious riders covering powered freeride, freestyle and big-air sessions. It combines a lightweight frame with a broad usable range rather than specialising in one discipline. Duotone links the model with strong low-end power, controlled high-wind behaviour, vertical boost and long, floaty hangtime.
Construction and Aerodynamics
An Aluula Gold leading edge and strut structure is paired with a Trinity TX canopy. The stiff, low-weight airframe is intended to hold its designed shape under load and translate steering input promptly. A narrower leading edge reduces frontal area and drag, helping the kite travel farther forward in the wind window. That position supports upwind efficiency and creates additional depower range when conditions strengthen.
Bridle and Steering
A six-point bridle spreads load through the frame and uses a longer layout to retain control when the kite is heavily depowered. The revised arrangement is designed to deliver smooth, direct power transmission without losing feedback at the edge of the wind range. Another leading-edge segment in the tips works with revised geometry to create quicker turns, a more playful feel and lighter, more precise bar feedback.
Jumping and Loops
The seam layout, slim leading edge and revised tips work together during take-off and rotation. Duotone positions the kite around efficient vertical lift and extended aerial manoeuvres. Faster turning makes loops more precise, while the stable airframe and bridle help it remain composed in strong wind. Its immediate response is best suited to riders with the technique to exploit its wide range.
Sizes and Setup
The 2026 Evo D/LAB is offered in 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 metre sizes. Duotone recommends 22-metre lines and its small bar for 6 to 9 metres, changing to 24-metre lines and the medium bar for 10 to 13 metres.
Summary
The Evo D/LAB is a lightweight all-round kite for riders prioritising boost, hangtime, responsive loops and efficient freeride performance. Its Aluula Gold frame, Trinity TX canopy, slimmer leading edge, six-point bridle and revised tips combine direct handling, useful depower and stability across demanding conditions.
