East Kent Kitesurfing Community Launches New Website and First-Ever Community Calendar
Thu 2nd Oct, 2025 @ 12:21 pm
The East Kent Kitesurfing Community (EKKC) has marked a major milestone this autumn with the launch of its new website, EKKC.org, and the release of its first-ever community wall calendar for 2026.
The website is designed to be the central hub for kitesurfers across the Kent coast, offering local spot guides, safety information, event announcements, and updates from the community. It also provides a platform for EKKC to represent the interests of local kiters while welcoming newcomers and visitors to the sport.
Chair’s Comment on the Website Launch:
“The launch of EKKC.org is a huge step forward for the East Kent kiting community. It’s not just a website – it’s a hub for local kiters and visitors, and a place to share spot guides, news, and events, and a platform to represent our community’s interests along the Kent coast. We’ve built this together, and we’d love everyone to use it, share it, and make it the beating heart of East Kent kitesurfing.”
Alongside the new site, the club has released its 2026 Wall Calendar, available in two versions – one with daily tide charts (ideal for kiters, dog walkers, and beach lovers) and one without, designed as a decorative piece or gift. Both feature high-quality photography of East Kent’s coastline and local kitesurfers.
Each calendar sold raises a £5 profit, which goes directly towards the club’s mission: keeping beaches clean, educating people about the coastline, and encouraging more people to take up the sport. Calendars will be available to purchase via the website until March 2026.
With the calendar being printed on demand and through an international company, anyone in the world should be able to order it, and it will be printed and shipped nearby so that the cost will be low for shipping. Please feel free to reach out to us on our website if you are unable to place an order but would like to. We’d love to see some kitesurfers in different countries hanging a calendar from our community on their wall. It would empower us to see support for our project in different countries. Please tag our Instagram if anyone does.
Chair’s Comment on the Calendar:
“We’re proud to release the first-ever EKKC calendar, showcasing local kiters on our beautiful bays. It’s more than just a tide chart or wall calendar – it’s a celebration of our community. Every sale helps fund the club’s work, from beach cleans to events, allowing us to bring more people safely into the sport. Kiters make it, and we’d love to see one hanging in every home across Kent.”
Membership of EKKC is open to all for just £5 a year, with funds supporting the club’s charitable activities and ongoing application to become a registered charity.
