2020 KiteFoil World Series Cancelled Due to COVID-19 – Youth Olympic Games Postponed

BIG NEWS – The IKA regrets to confirm the cancellation of the 2020 KiteFoil World Series due to COVID-19. Despite all efforts and the commitment of our event organizers, the development of the worldwide pandemic makes it impossible to organize a safe and fair World Series in 2020.
China has announced over the weekend the cancellation of all international competitions (except the 2022 Winter Olympic Games test event). This includes Golf, Tennis, Formula 1, and also the IKA events planned later in the season. We are sure that all our venues in China will be back strong next year.
The Traunsee event in September will go ahead on a European level, with details to be announced shortly.
If international travel can commence, Sardinia will see back to back events of individual and team relay World Championships of the Formula Kite class.
Earlier today, the International Olympic Committee announced that the 2022 Youth Olympic Games in Dakar would be postponed to 2026. No further information is available at this time.
