Two kites, one last chance. Production finishes Monday 16th November.

Some kites earn a special place in a rider’s quiver. The one that comes out on the light days when everyone else is still on the beach. The one that goes in the car for a weekend on the water, then up the mountain the following season.

For many of you, that’s been the Hyperlink V4 or the Alpha V3 Ultra-X. After a lot of thought, we’ve decided it’s time for both to take their final bow.

Why we’re saying goodbye

Our range has grown a lot over the years, across kite, wing, parawing and snow. That’s been brilliant for riders, especially those who really enjoy particular niche performance for their disciplines. We operate a version strategy that sees us only releasing new models when real improvements have been made. We froth on development, and have seen our product range expand over time.

Looking beyond the Alpha and Hyperlink, dream handling for hydrofoiling is now also delivered by the Mach1 and Reo, while the new EXP and Explore kites will take you everywhere on snow.

In order for us to continue driving forward with development that’s most beneficial to our customers, from time to time, we must say goodbye to some products.

What happens if you’re already riding a Hyperlink or Alpha?

Nothing changes.

If you already fly a Hyperlink V4 or an Alpha V3 Ultra-X, keep enjoying it. There’s no need to worry about future parts availability—we continue to produce spares for all our old products, thanks to the fact we have our own factory, and have a drive to help our customers keep old products performing like new. Customer support remains available through your local Ozone dealer. A well-looked-after kite is one that keeps flying for years.

Hyperlink V4: one kite, water and snow

The Hyperlink V4 is a true crossover foil kite. On the water, set it up in 4-line closed cell mode for twin tip and foil sessions. When winter comes, convert it to 5-line open cell mode for safe, versatile handling on the snow.

It turns smoothly through loops, stays stable, depowers well and glides nicely in the mountains. If you’ve been dreaming of a winter of snowkiting without giving up your summer on the water, this is the kite that links the two.

Alpha V3 Ultra-X: the light-wind all-rounder

The Alpha V3 Ultra-X is a super-lightweight, single-strut freeride kite for intermediate to advanced riders. It floats and drifts beautifully, stays flying in the lightest winds, and is just as happy powering a hydrofoil, cruising a freeride session or riding a few waves.

Available from 4m to 16m, it’s the kind of kite that turns marginal forecasts into sessions. More days on the water, without waiting for the wind to fill in.

Your last chance to make one yours

If one of these kites has been on your wish list, now is the time. We will finish production on these kites in the factory on Monday, 16th November. So please make sure your orders are in with your dealer before then.
