Kitesurfing in 5 knots, is it possible?
Issue 115
Le Barcarès: A spot where innovation and skill take control. Records are broken, and riders push the limits of Big Air kiteboarding. This event is known as one of the most extreme in the sport for a reason. Lords of Tram 2026 was an edition that had heads turning and questions being asked.
Issue 115
Wave riding has always been about feel. It is the discipline in kiteboarding, where subtlety matters more than spectacle and control outweighs raw power. The new Harlem Flow arrives with that philosophy at its core, a dedicated wave kite designed not to dominate the session, but to disappear into it. Built for riders who want to focus purely on the wave, it promises precision, drift and a level of predictability that lets you commit fully to the steepest of sections.
Issue 114
Kiteboarding has seen many characters, but few have shaped the sport through as many roles as Lewis Crathern. From body dragging at Whitstable without a board to becoming a national champion, from soaring over Brighton Pier to becoming one of the most recognisable voices in global events, his journey has always been defined by passion and purpose. Now, with a fresh chapter at Harlem Kitesurfing, Lewis brings new energy to his riding, a deeper commitment to young people and a renewed focus on wind-powered education.
Issue 113
Few names in kiteboarding command the same respect as Aaron Hadlow. A five-time World Champion, two-time King of the Air winner, and one of the sport’s defining figures, Aaron has been part of kiteboarding’s story since the very beginning. Over the years, Rou Chater and he have crossed paths at beaches, competitions, and photoshoots all over the world, and his passion for the sport has never faded. In this feature, we rewind to where it all began: from those early Cornish days to the world stage, tracing the evolution of a rider who helped shape modern kiteboarding.

In this IKSURFMAG feature, we explore how Brainchild Manufacturing grew from a 1,000 m² workshop in North Macedonia to one of kite and wing production’s most innovative forces in just two years. From stitch-free ProWeld technology to digital printing, they now produce kites for Reedin, F-ONE, Harlem, and Juniqua and with a new 3,000 m² facility coming soon, Ralf Grösel is set to push innovation even further. Find out more here!

From the fashion and paragliding industries, Isabelle Kaiser took her time finding her place in the action sports world, but when she did, she made it her own. Now leading creative at Brainchild and launching Juniqua, the first kite and wingfoil brand for women, Isabelle is blending design, innovation, and style in a bold new way.
