Adeuri Corniel is a young pro kitesurfer born and raised in Cabarete-Dominican Republic, which is known as the Kiteboarding Capital of the world. He is one of the youngest members of an accomplished kiteboarding family of five. Adeuri began to kitesurf at a young age with the guidance of his older brothers. Like his family, right away, he developed a feverish passion for this new sport. His quick and strong progression showed an obvious talent and potential to everyone. He soon had also the desire to one day travel and compete around the world like his brothers. Therefore they started to help him train to accomplish his dream career. Adeuri landed his first sponsorship with a kiteboard brand in 2014, and he began competing on the junior tour, and finished N#1 the same year. In 2016 he obtained a new sponsorship with RRD – Roberto Ricci Designs to compete on the new WKL – World Kiteboarding League pro tour. Only attending 3 events of the whole last season, for his first pro tour, he finished each time in the top 6, in the event in Cabarete he got 4th place and at the end of the year he was crowned 2016 WKL rookie of the year. For 2017 Adeuri's burning desire is to stand on the overall champion's podium of the WKL tour. Right now he is in top 9 of the World Tour and in the past Junior Cup he got 1st place and was crowned Junior World Champion 2017. Sportsperson instagram.com/adeuri_corniel
