The Cabrinha Moto XL Apex 2026 is a light-wind freeride kite developed to create useful drive in threshold conditions without becoming slow or cumbersome. Light-wind design

The Moto XL Apex is available in 13m, 15m and 17m sizes. Cabrinha says the spacing is deliberate, with each size tuned around rider weight rather than designed to overlap heavily. The recommended choice can therefore be based on rider mass and typical conditions instead of requiring several adjacent XL sizes.
For a 75kg rider, the published wind ranges are 9–18 knots for the 13m, 8–16 knots for the 15m and 6–15 knots for the 17m. Corresponding weights without the bag are 3.16kg, 3.50kg and 3.70kg. These figures underline the model’s threshold-wind purpose while showing that each larger size shifts the lower limit rather than simply adding surface area.
