The Cabrinha Drifter Apex 2026 is a surf-oriented kite designed around down-the-line drift, rapid steering and immediate power control. The model’s primary role remains wave riding, where the kite must continue to follow the rider when the lines are lightly loaded, but Cabrinha also positions this generation for strapless freestyle. Its predictable bar feel, pop and controlled landings broaden the brief from carving on a surfboard to rotations and aerial manoeuvres without abandoning the handling characteristics that define the Drifter.
Surf and freestyle profile
A three-strut hybrid airframe, moderate aspect ratio and chopped surf-oriented wing tips form the core of the design.
