Cabrinha Sharpens Its Wave Range with the Drifter Apex and S-Quad

Cabrinha’s latest wave-focused release brings together the 2027 Drifter Apex surf kite and the S-Quad performance surfboard, with both products designed around control in powerful surf.
2027 Drifter Apex
The Drifter Apex continues as Cabrinha’s dedicated performance surf and strapless-freestyle kite. Its three-strut, moderate-aspect-ratio design is tuned for slack-line drift, fast steering and predictable handling, allowing riders to concentrate on the wave while the kite follows them down the line.
The 2027 model uses an Ultra HT Dacron airframe and Teijin D2 canopy, together with Cabrinha’s Airframe Inflation System. A Vert-X adjustable bridle makes the kite compatible with either the Unify High-Y or Low-V configuration, allowing riders to tailor the handling to their preference. The Drifter Apex is offered in sizes from 5 to 11 metres.
S-Quad
The S-Quad is built for fast, powerful waves where grip, drive and rail-to-rail control are priorities. A high entry rocker helps the board fit into steeper faces, while its double-in-single concave bottom and quad-fin setup are designed to maintain speed and control through critical sections.
Cabrinha’s Apex Pro Carbon surf layup keeps the board light and responsive. Footstrap inserts add the option of strapped wave riding, while the 5’7″ outline and 23-litre volume target intermediate to advanced riders looking to push harder in shoulder-high and larger surf.
