Running as part of a dynamic major five-sport event, the Qatar Airways GKA Freestyle Kite World Cup Neom kicks things off tomorrow as the opening attraction of the NEOM Beach Games 2022.
The second event of the GKA Freestyle World Cup season will see the world’s best freestyle kiters re-start their campaigns towards the Qatar Airways GKA Kite World Championship culminates in Brazil next month.
Home for the next week, a superb flat water spot with specially constructed facilities awaited the athletes when they started to arrive in Neom a few days ago. The Freestyle-Kite action promises to be as good as we’ve ever seen!

NEOM, the sustainable regional development taking shape in northwest Saudi Arabia, hosts the NEOM Beach Games 2022, bringing together leading world class sport events with high performance athletes from over 25 countries, as the region aims to become a hub for sport. The series of major sport events will launch on October 19 and feature five dynamic sports; kitesurfing, triathlon, 3×3 basketball, beach soccer and mountain biking.
