“This is a special place for me to return to as it is my kiting career first began. When I entered King of the air 2014, Sterkfontein dam was one of the locations that I filmed my edit at. Something with this location is that it usually only works in the winter months in South Africa.
In my recent trip back home to Durban, I checked the forecast and in it was a massive cold front, unusual for this time of the year. I proceeded to check inland forecast only to notice it was predicting 47knts inland. Was an easy choice to head back to spot I haven’t ridden in many years and well did it treat me REALLY WELL!!!” – Joshua Emanuel
