It is that time of the year again when the sky over the Indian Ocean transforms into a colourful kaleidoscope – Yes, you guessed it, the C Kite Festival is swooping back on the island!
This trendsetting fiesta, in collaboration with the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA) and Air Mauritius, held at the lively C Mauritius, brings together professional kite surfers from around the globe, all riding the wave for this unique event set on the East coast of Mauritius. Soaring high on the success of last year’s inaugural festival, this year’s spectacle is set to unfurl from the 14th to 16th of July 2023, flaunting a vibrant mix of high-speed kitesurfing competitions, expert demonstrations, and a whirl of day and evening activities that will make your heart skip a beat!
The C Kite Festival is not just a sporting event, it is also a celebration of the kite art trend that has been making waves around the world! Over the past 30 years, kitesurfing has become one the world’s most popular water sports, rolling speed, balance, and a dash of adrenaline into a thrilling spectacle of skill and resilience.
C Mauritius is thrilled to be a part of this wave!
Get ready for a wave of excitement, because the C Kite Festival is not just hosted by any ordinary team. We are pulling out all the stops with former kitesurf world champ, TV Host, Onboard reporter for 2023 Ocean Race, Antoine Auriol! This festival promises participants a ‘dive-in headfirst’ experience where they can immerse themselves in exhilarating kitesurfing sessions. The participants will be treated to live demos by the world’s top kitesurfers, an absolute feast for the eyes!

• Victor Hays – Pro Kiteboarder
• Paul Serin – French Champion and Big Air Pro
• Tom Hebert – 2x Vice World Champion
• Hay Katz – holder of the 9.0 best score 1 trick – big air, 3x Silver & 2x Bronze Israel champion
• Arthur Guillebert – Freestyle Kitesurfer. World champion 2021. 2x European champion 2014-15
The C Kite festival is also thrilled to welcome an impressive list of VIP guests such as:
• Yarden Sax – International saxophonist, DJ, and music producer from Tel Aviv.
• Thomas Frake – UK’s MasterChef Champion 2020
• Soufiane Hamaini – International kite surfer with a 4th place in the overall world ranking and the 1st Arab athlete to participate in the world championship. Founder of the Moroccan Association of Kite Surfing and owner of a kite school – Dakhla Spirit.
• Alice Le Moigne – Kitesurfer-World Longboard champ ISA (International Surfing Association) and Vice World Champ WSL (World Surf League).
