Big news from WOO Sports, creators of everyone’s favourite little blue box of joy… After just over two years with the Boards and More Group, the company has left to take full charge of its own destiny once again…

We’ve got some rather big news to share with you:
As of July 2026, WOO is once again a fully independent company.
Together with the team, Leo Koenig, the founder of WOO, has brought the company back from Boards & More.
Back in March 2024, we became part of the Boards & More family, and what a ride it’s been. We learned so much, grew in ways we didn’t expect, and — maybe most importantly — made real friends along the way. When we came to Boards & More with the wish to take WOO independent again, they didn’t hesitate. They backed us completely, like true friends do. That kind of support is rare, and we won’t forget it. Thank you Boards & More, for the years we spent together, and for supporting us on our journey!
What changes for you? Nothing — and everything. Nothing because your WOO, your app and your sessions all remain the same – for now. Everything, because we’ve been working on the next chapter of WOO — and let’s just say we’re adding some new lines to the story. And in general, with our newfound independence and backing, we look to gain a lot of steam and momentum, get back to our nimble, agile and fast-moving roots, and re-focus our efforts on uniting and growing the kite community in whichever way we can.
Speaking of uniting and growing: our door is open — to every brand, every school, every event, every rider, every technology. If you want to build the future of this sport with us, don’t hesitate to reach out, we are open to collaborating in any way that benefits this beautiful sport and community we all get to be part of.

We thrive on uncertainty, opportunity and relentless ambition. We prefer a squiggly path over straight lines. As such, this feels like going back to our roots of being a small, nimble and agile team, being close to our customers, and working hard to build something meaningful for the community and sport we love.
