Born where the desert meets the sea, in the windswept lands of La Guajira, Colombia, Adalberto Segundo Gómez Epieyu carries a story bigger than the sport that changed his life.

Growing up in an Indigenous community, Beto found in kiteboarding a way to discover the world, challenge expectations, and build a future he could only have dreamed of. But leaving home meant more than travelling to new places. It meant navigating two worlds, staying connected to his roots, and finding a way to share his identity with others.

“BETO” is a story about family, identity, belonging, and the people who help us become who we are. Through the eyes of this incredible human being, the film explores what it means to follow a dream without forgetting where you come from.
