Kiteboarding the Secret Sandbank at Sunrise
Is there anything better than a sunrise session? The sun is rising with the spring season in the UK, and Mike the Kite goes for an early morning session to the secret sandbank in this video!
“This session started at 06.00 when the clocks went forward with a full moon in the sky, giving us a spring low tide with a sea level of 0.8m. This meant for a perfect sunrise session at the secret sandbank with winds gusting 25-30 Knots. So at the crack of dawn I set up the 9m Core XR6 and started the long tack out to my favourite kite spot. When I reached the ever changing tidal spot, I was shocked to see such an expanse of sandbanks with so many flat water spots between each of them.
I hope you enjoy watching the session as much as I enjoyed riding it.”
