When arriving at the spot we saw mountains hitting the reef and throwing spray almost double the height of the wave. It was by far the biggest wave I’ve ever seen in my life!
Together with Joshua Emanuel we decided to go out there and race some giants! The wave were about 6-8m high, this is about 4x overhead! Whilst riding down the wave you already had to pull your depower strap to not get pulled of the back. Once you’ve set your line and committed to the wave it was a race down the line to not get caught by the huge white water washing machine. Result: The ride of a lifetime!
