March Standouts So Far…
March is already racing by, and across the globe the energy of this month’s events is hard to ignore. Riders everywhere are pushing the limits.
At the heart of it all, Jason vd Spuy has set the tone — rolling out three dynamic disciplines through WOO Events that are keeping everyone on their toes: Days on Water, Total Distance, and Total Max Height.
Whether it’s clocking more time on the water, chasing distance milestones, or reaching for new heights, the competition is heating up. And with so much action already unfolding, a few standout performances are beginning to rise above the rest…
” For the Estonians in the Philippines, March has been long days on the water and smooth sailing. Toomas, Triina and Margit are in the mix in all three disciplines, including a perfect 16/16 for March Days on Water!
For Gary Pikovsky in Cabarete, March has been filled with endless kitefoiling at the iconic Kite Beach. Gary leads the Total Distance ahead of Bruce Hough in South Africa, Triina in Zamboanguita, and some chap Timo… Mar10!?… never heard of him…
Western Australia continues to hammer strong wind on the daily, helping Karin Dautzenberg climb the Total Max Height ahead of EVERYONE! She’s been on a range of kites and spots, chasing big jumps up and down the coast. Total Max Height motivates consistent riding and evens the playing field. Let’s see if Hugo Wigglesworth and Jason vd Spuy can keep pace with Karin for the second half!
Sitting in 5th Worldwide for March Total Max Height is Jens, the king of consistency on the Canaries. Chop, swell, gusty wind – all taken in stride by Jens. “The old guy fly high!”
The daily wing ding is adding up quick for Alexander in Cape Verde. He’s the first over 1000km in Distance, doing it all with the wing! Unreal consistency from Alexander – on the sessions, the caption, the spot… he’s dialed in! “
