Meet the latest 4Shor update

This update brings a faster, more powerful 4Shor experience, with improved map performance and at-a-glance sport, wave and wind data available at every zoom level.
You asked for more forecast detail. We listened. So… here you go. Forecast access has been expanded, giving free users 3 days of 3-hour forecasts and premium users 3 days of hourly forecasts as part of the full 8-day outlook.
And because you asked for easier ways to find the places and information that matter to you, you can now search using local and alias beach names, discover nearby watersports businesses, and benefit from a range of improvements to navigation, weather data and tide-aware scoring.
A faster, smarter map experience
Sport scores, wave and wind conditions are now visible at every map scale, plus:
- Improved loading times
- Clustered data when zoomed out
New features in the latest app update
- New maps: Sport scores, wave and wind values are visible at all map scales and show split clusters when zoomed out with maximum and minimum values. App performance is also improved and data load times are reduced.
- Alias names: Where alias or local names are available, these now appear in the beach detail panel as a scrolling marquee and can also be used in search.
- Free users: Anyone not on a subscription now has access to 3 days of forecasts in 3-hour time buckets, up from 1 day. Premium users can now see those 3 days in 1-hour time buckets, up from 2 days, as part of the full 8-day forecast.
- Local businesses: The app now displays watersports hire businesses and schools close to 4Shor locations.
Bug fixes
- The “Navigate to” button previously showed multiple stops to parking locations as A and B. It now directs to the closest parking, whether that is a verified parking area or nearby on-road parking.
- Weather data previously showed only for the current day and tomorrow. It is now applied to all 8 days.
- Flat-water, non-wind sports now have tide-aware scores reflected by ability level, accounting for the danger of offshore wind and tide.
- Other minor quality-of-life fixes.
