That’s why we’re shining a spotlight on Ride Engine athlete Matilda Roux, whose dedication, perseverance, and commitment to progression embody everything we stand for.
Although originally from Toulouse, France, Matilda’s story truly begins in Leucate. At just 15 years old, she left home, moved into a caravan, and dedicated herself fully to kiteboarding. Every session, every challenge, and every sacrifice was fueled by a single goal: to become the best rider she could be.
Today, Matilda has established herself as one of the most exciting young athletes in kiteboarding, combining technical freestyle riding with an ever growing passion for Big Air. Her approach to the sport reflects the values we believe in most: commitment, progression, resilience, and a relentless drive to improve.
Whether she’s chasing podium finishes, training for her next breakthrough trick, or inspiring the next generation of riders, Matilda brings the same energy and determination to everything she does.
When asked to describe her approach to kiteboarding in one word, her answer was simple: Hard Worker!
From a caravan in Leucate to competing on the world stage, Matilda’s journey is a testament to what’s possible when talent meets relentless determination. We’re proud to be part of that journey and look forward to seeing what comes next.
