Ocean Rodeo are mainly known for their impressive drysuits, each year they develop them and arguably for the discerning kitesurfer there really is no other substitute. In addition, the board range has also been updated for 2017, let’s take a look at the full line-up below!

Boards

Mako

Thinner, lighter and tougher the all new Mako also finally features true Rail-to-Rail concave that results in a delicious carve, every time. Built for ‘real world’ conditions the all new Mako excels where all other conventional twin tips fail. Short-fetch chop, rolling ocean waves, inside shore breaks, the Mako smoothly traverses it all and delights in setting the rail hard for a high G force carve to reverse direction for another tack. The deepest rail-to-rail concave of any twin tip ever produced combined with rounded tips, down-turned rails and a perfectly tuned rocker line. The Mako delivers a powerful fluid carving experience and a dependable rail for stratospheric boosting. Available in 4 different sizes, the Mako lineup offers Freeride enthusiasts of all backgrounds a board suited to their riding style and size while the wood core ensures your board will survive the rough and tumble coastal conditions this board is built to perform in.

Sizes: 135cm x 37cm, 140cm x 40cm, 150cm x 40cm, 165cm x 44cm

Duke

The Duke’s deep Mako concave ensures this board rides smoothly over the chop, reducing nose chatter often associated with other directional boards. The concave also helps the Duke rip up wind and leads to a much more stable board with a massive sweet spot, good for transitional footwork and landing tricks. The Duke can be setup with 3 distinct fin setups, each give the board a unique character. In tri fin mode ( one center fin, two side fin near the tail) the Duke becomes a flat water chop strapless freestyle machine making sliding moves and reverse landings easy. For more bite, move the side fins up one for true thruster setup, snappy pivot turns on the wave face. When the conditions are really good, we like to crank up the fin count with the quad set up. The Duke in quad mode is a pure delight for the dedicated wave rider, fast down the line allowing deep hard driving carves. The quad fins also get you back up wind faster, letting you ride the board flat and fast while you search for the next bomb.
