Make My Day Namibia

Jeremie Eloy does it again, in a world of kite movies that often look exactly the same he produces something that is truly visually stunning… He’s in Namibia at a wave I have seen surfed, but never kited, he gets shacked out of his brains and takes some heavy dues too. Easily the most beautiful kite movie I have seen in the last few months. As they say in France, c’est tres jolie!

Shot in Namibia

Shot with Canon C100, Canon 7D, Go Pro

A Few years ago, a wave was found in Africa, a long very long hollow wave. Each and every shot I saw from this place drove me crazy.
So I started to check how to get there, which wind could be good, which swell would work…
Lost in the desert, The wave rolls directly from the roaring forties. Sharks, seals, permits : A real challenge to get there, and to score.
You need a specific forecast, and sometimes it won’t happen. I was dreaming of that wave every day. When I saw that swell coming I couldn’t sleep anymore, plane ticket, guide, permit… 2 days later I was there. Just like in my dreams I had the pleasure to play with it..

This looks particularly mental, but equally I'm strangely drawn to it, it would be pretty cool to spend your entire kite session just hanging around in mid air...
