At A Glance

Kitesurf and wakeboard giants, Liquid Force, have presented us with the Bliss as their board created specifically for the female rider. It has been a mainstay in their line up for a good few years, complimenting their impressive range. The Bliss has been designed as an all-round women’s board, intended to take you from your first runs all the way to a high level of freestyle riding. Featuring a medium rocker, soft flex and a wood composite core, this board is loaded with features and is not merely any old board with pink and glitter. That said, it does have a fair bit of glitter within the funky jelly fish graphics, and the end result is simply stunning.

On The Water

Having ridden bigger boards for freestyle the past few years, it was great to jump back on a 129 and really appreciate just how versatile, and actually incredibly suited to women, smaller boards are. Not just the lighter weight being easy to carry and throw around, but also being able to hold impressive power down when it does get windy. Being a smaller board I was a little dubious about its upwind capabilities, but no worries at all, and as long as you are riding with some solid power you fly up wind.

The channels on the base of the board create some solid grip, enabling you to load up well for jumps and tricks. The Bliss comes equipped with some small 1.5inch fins, which give the board a slightly skate feel, and lets you make a few mistakes with landings as you can skid the board into the correct position very easily.

A slightly curved outline with smaller tips results in an extremely comfortable ride, and riding through chop was entirely enjoyable, rather than a headache-inducing nightmare.

There is good pop from the Bliss, again being able to load the board up well is an advantage here resulting in very pleasurable unhooked tricking.

We had the new 2015 Fusion X pad and strap combo, which hug your feet whilst still offering a great feel through the pad, something which is often lost with the comfier pads.

Overall

A very solid board from Liquid Force that not only looks incredible, but has the technology and performance to match. Suited to those who want a do-it-all board which will last them for years to come and who like to ride in a range of different conditions.
