Sadly the forecast for Wednesday that the organisers were holding on for has disappeared to nothing! Currently the whole of Cape Town looks to be on hold, which raises the question, why didn’t the organisers just go for it over the weekend? Sunday saw winds in excess of 30knots, but with a tempting forecast ahead of them the decision was made to hold on.
Monday the 9th looks like the next decent day of classic Cape Town conditions, and most likely the day the organisers are pinning their hopes on. With just twelve days left on the event window, and the next 7 days not looking favourable, that leaves a tight period of time towards the end of the waiting period to run the event.
