Best Kiteboarding Launch the Extract Range

Best Kiteboarding announces the launch of their most extreme kiteboarding equipment, developed in conjunction with the world’s most extreme kiter and Best pro team rider Ruben Lenten.

Berlin – 10th December – 2013. Since Ruben signed with Best in early 2013 he has been working non-stop with the Best R&D team on creating the most hardcore kiting products possible to help him continue to redefine the limits of extreme kiting. Working together with Best’s kite designer, Ruben has created the most extreme, high performance, four line C-kite on the market. Built with Cuben Fiber and Twister Tech™ for amazing high wind stability, upwind ability and fast, tight turning, the Extract kite will allow you to push harder for every trick. Since Ruben flies these kites in the most extreme conditions, he chose to include all elements of Best’s Bomb Proof Build quality package into the design. Canopy Framing Technology, 3D Kevlar Airframe, Double Core RS canopy material and more contribute to the Extract kite’s unbreakable feel. Fitted with the new Twist Lock Valve for rapid inflation, the Extract C-kite will be as quick to get you on the water as it is to help you boost off it.

Extreme kiters need extreme control, durability and safety and the Extract bar delivers. Available in 42cm and 47cm to suit any rider, every Extract bar is fitted with low friction Delrin inserts, an 8 mm depower rope and all new heavy duty flying lines developed by the R&D team at Best to compliment Ruben’s super aggressive riding style. The Extract bar is wrapped in a new, super tacky EVA grip and Ruben selected a clam cleat depower system that is easy to adjust and locks in securely. Under the bar you’ll find Best’s proven Pro-Cuff+ quick release system. Highly resistant to false releases and with a low activation pressure, the Pro-Cuff+ QR is the perfect solution for extreme kiters who need a bulletproof safety system on a bar that they can trust in any conditions.

Finishing off Ruben’s signature equipment line, the Extract board is a high performance kiteloop and high wind newschool twintip. Ruben likes to ride a smaller board, reducing air drag and allowing him to boost higher than anyone else. At 135 cm, the Extract twintip is perfectly sized to help him maintain his megaloop crown. The underside of the Extract board is shaped with quad channels and concave that work with Ruben’s asymmetric fins to provide endless grip and effortless control. A CNC machined Supremo wood core and 3D top sheet combine to deliver the platform stability and flex pattern that Ruben demands. Best’s exclusive Basalt Carbon Compound reinforces both sides of the wood core to provide precisely controlled rebound damping and pop- ideal for boosting huge tricks in boots.
