Red Bull Coast 2 Coast

In just one hour and six minutes Bjoern Rune Jensen crossed from Fehmarn in Germany to Denmark and back again to secure the victory at Red Bull Coast 2 Coast.

Nearly 350 riders from 13 nations traveled to take on the 40km challenge. With up to 25knots of wind, the kiters headed north. Just a few kilometers after the start sat the field of the top 5 finishers for the rest of the race. With a lead of more than five minutes, Bjoern Rune Jensen was ahead of his competitors Alex Caizerguez (FRA) and Steffen Oevind (DEN) and maintained his position to crossed the finish line first. With an exhausted but happy face he accepted the award for the victory at Red Bull Coast 2 Coast. Bjoern wins an all expenses paid kite trip to Hawaii and an exclusive “Meet and Greet” with legend Robby Naish.

The fastest lady was German Christine Bönninger from Kiel, who arrived to a thunderous applause from the spectators on the beach.
